How to install Meteor Client

The new all-in-one .exe installer makes setup simple. Follow these five steps and you'll be in-game in under a minute.

Before you start:antivirus tools (including Windows Defender) may flag the installer as a false positive. This is normal for Minecraft mods. Temporarily disable your antivirus or add an exclusion during installation, then re-enable it when you're done.

    Download the installer

    Head to the download page and save MeteorClient.zip to your computer. It's a single file — no extra tools needed.

    Temporarily disable your antivirus

    Antivirus software like Windows Defender often flags modding installers as a false positive. Before running the installer, temporarily turn off real-time protection or add an exclusion for the file. Remember to turn it back on afterwards.

    Extract and run the installer

    Right-click MeteorClient.zip and choose Extract All, then double-click MeteorClient.exe inside and follow the on-screen prompts. If Windows shows a SmartScreen warning, choose More info → Run anyway. The installer bundles every dependency, so there's nothing else to configure.

    Open your Minecraft launcher

    The installer creates a dedicated Meteor profile. Open the official Minecraft launcher and select the Meteor Client profile from the dropdown next to the play button.

    Launch and play

    Hit play, join any world, and press Right Shift to open the Meteor menu. That's it — you're running Meteor Client.
